EMERGENCY STOCK FOR FREEZING WATERMAINS

In 2010 Ireland experienced its coldest winter in more than 65 years with unprecedented sub-zero temperatures. For all of us involved in managing and maintaining Ireland's water networks, the freezing condition created a particularly challenging job. Anticipating further harsh winters and freezing conditions, we are strongly advising that stock levels on essential pipeline supplies are checked now and increased both on a regional basis and at local depots.
